AV Planning Engineer at BairesDev

As an AV Planning Engineer, you will develop the sophisticated algorithms that allow autonomous vehicles to navigate complex environments safely and efficiently. You will focus on creating smooth, predictable trajectories while accounting for real-time constraints and the uncertainty of dynamic surroundings.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement advanced motion planning algorithms for complex urban navigation.
• Optimize vehicle trajectories using Model Predictive Control (MPC) to ensure comfort and safety.
• Develop software solutions that handle high-frequency real-time constraints in an on-vehicle environment.
• Collaborate with perception and control teams to integrate planning logic with sensor data and hardware actuators.
• Refine pathfinding behaviors to account for diverse road participants and edge-case traffic scenarios.
• Analyze flight or drive data to iterate on planner performance and decision-making logic.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing planning algorithms like RRT, A*, and MPC.
• Proficiency in C++ and trajectory optimization for real-time systems.
• Extensive experience in motion planning and navigating real-time constraints.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
