Build Systems Engineer at BairesDev

As a Build Systems Engineer, you will specialize in developing and scaling the infrastructure that powers our software construction processes. You will serve as a key link between development and operations, ensuring that large-scale monorepos remain fast, reliable, and reproducible through advanced tooling and optimization strategies.

What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain highly efficient build pipelines using Bazel to support complex, large-scale software projects.
• Optimize build performance and developer productivity by implementing advanced caching and remote execution strategies.
• Design and govern monorepo structures, ensuring clean dependency management and scalable project organization.
• Implement hermetic and reproducible build environments to eliminate "works on my machine" inconsistencies across the lifecycle.
• Orchestrate sophisticated CI/CD workflows using Buildkite to automate testing and deployment with maximum throughput.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define best practices for build safety, performance monitoring, and internal tooling.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Build Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale build systems with Bazel or similar tools.
• Proficiency in optimizing build performance and managing monorepo tooling at scale.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD orchestration tools like Buildkite.
• Deep understanding of hermetic builds and reproducible software environments.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
