Proposal Manager, Presales at BairesDev

In this role, you'll own the development of client-facing proposals for custom software development and IT professional services opportunities, from intake through close. Most proposals are built from discovery conversations and internal inputs rather than formal tender documents, though the role also covers RFP, RFQ, RFI responses, security questionnaires, and vendor onboarding. This is your opportunity to direct the response process end to end, bringing technical, delivery, commercial, and security inputs together into a single coherent document, while working across Sales, Solution Architecture, Delivery, and Professional Services.

What You'll Do:

Proposals and RFx

- Lead proposals end-to-end, from intake through submission and follow-up, working from discovery notes, client conversations, and internal inputs.

- Lead RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses where clients run them, ensuring every question and requirement is answered.

- Plan each response: who contributes what, by when, review cycles, and submission.

- Write the executive summary, client understanding, capability, and supporting narrative sections.

- Adapt and assemble technical, delivery, security, and commercial content into one document with a consistent voice.

- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and unanswered questions before submission and take them to the right owner.

- Handle client questions and clarifications through to close.

Vendor registration and onboarding

- Complete and maintain vendor registrations on client and third-party procurement platforms.

- Assemble responses to security questionnaires and vendor due diligence requests, working from content owned by the Security team.

- Keep the standing document set current: certificates of insurance, financial statements, entity and tax documentation, certifications.

Content and knowledge

- Own the reusable proposal content library, including structure, versioning, and keeping it current.

- Develop case studies and success stories with Delivery, including reconstructing outcome data where it was not captured, and managing client naming and approval constraints.

- Maintain capability presentations, pitch materials, and standard collateral.

- Coordinate client references and proof points, including permission tracking.

Coordination

- Provide an effort and feasibility read as input to bid/no-bid decisions.

- Gather pricing inputs and route rates validation requests.

- Keep the presales board, deal documentation, and folder structure accurate.

- Improve templates, workflows, and turnaround time.

What we are looking for:

- 4+ years of experience owning client-facing proposals for software development, technology services, or IT delivery, including both proactive proposals and RFx responses.

- Experience within nearshore or offshore software services delivery.

- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of the response process, including contributor coordination, review management, and submission.

- Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, security questionnaires, and vendor onboarding requirements.

- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile delivery, sufficient to write and review content covering Discovery, Design, Build, QA, and Deployment.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent responses without loss of quality.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, Information Systems, Marketing, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

- Upper-intermediate written English or above.
