A leading company in the agribusiness sector, with large-scale operations and an international presence, is seeking a Compliance Head to join its operations in Piura.

This role will be responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening the Compliance function in Peru, ensuring the effective implementation of corporate policies and standards, as well as the identification, prevention, and mitigation of compliance risks. The successful candidate will also serve as the local point of contact for ethics, integrity, and compliance matters, working closely with various business functions.

Key responsabilities

• Implement and maintain the organization's Compliance framework and policies in Peru, adapting them as necessary to local regulations and business conditions.
• Participate in the identification and assessment of Compliance risks, as well as monitor controls and remediation action plans.
• Coordinate control monitoring and assurance activities in collaboration with the relevant business functions.
• Coordinate and/or participate in internal investigations related to Compliance matters.
• Manage the registration, follow-up, and appropriate handling of reports submitted through whistleblowing channels.
• Manage risks related to fraud, anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, and other compliance matters.
• Design and deliver training programs and awareness initiatives on Compliance, Ethics, the Code of Conduct, and corporate policies.
• Provide proactive guidance to senior management and business functions, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and present Compliance metrics, risk reports, incident reports, control assessments, and progress updates to the relevant regional stakeholders.
• Monitor relevant regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on business operations.

Candidate profile

• University degree or bachelor's degree, preferably in Law. Candidates with backgrounds in Business Administration, Accounting, or other related fields may also be considered if they have a strong track record in Compliance.
• Specialization, postgraduate studies, or professional certifications in Compliance, anti-bribery management, fraud prevention, auditing, or related fields are desirable.
• Approximately 7–8 years of experience in Compliance or related areas, such as Risk Management, Internal Controls, or Internal Audit.
• Previous experience in roles such as Compliance Manager, Compliance Supervisor, Compliance Coordinator, Head of Compliance, or positions with a similar level of responsibility.
• Knowledge of anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, whistleblowing, fraud prevention, data protection, control assurance, and risk management.
• Experience in agribusiness, food and beverage, consumer goods, fisheries, manufacturing, natural resources, energy, or organizations with similarly complex operations will be considered an asset.
• Advanced English proficiency is preferred; candidates with a strong overall profile and intermediate English proficiency may also be considered.
